Our outside service department has the technical expertise and ability to solve the most difficult problems associated with commercial doors. A wide range of building types, new and old, can count on F.W. Kline, Inc. with confidence that results in long-term relationships. We take pride in our results, and will back it up.
Metal or aluminum/glass doors and frames can last a long time if cared for properly. At some point however, replacement is necessary. We can provide the explanation and recommendation to form the best plan. FRP doors are a lasting solution to the highest traffic doors in abusive and weather-beaten areas. For interior applications custom wood doors are also available, stained by us to match existing woodwork.
Proper weather sealing of doors, in cold or hot climates, can greatly reduce energy costs. The right threshold, perimeter seals, and door sweeps can eliminate gaps that keep the heat or cool in, and the insects and rodents out.
A traditional service and a foundation to F.W. Kline is our door closer re-build sector. All types of door closers – surface mount, floor, and overhead concealed have two things in common. One - is that its role in opening and closing of a door is an essential component to door functionality. Two – is that eventually, it will fail. When this occurs a door will unexpectedly fly open or slam shut. Many closers, some of which had a 50+ year life, can be re-built to like-new condition. This is especially valuable when there is no longer a replacement door closer made. A challenge in replacing an obsolete door closer is the mounting hole differences, especially for “potbelly”, floor, and overhead concealed closers. Benefits to rebuilding door closers in lieu of replacement with new:
As a traditional “door check & lock” company, F.W. Kline, Inc. can help identify, replace, and service a wide variety of cylindrical locks, mortise locks, and storefront locks, as well as exit devices. We can assist in establishing and maintaining an appropriate level of mechanical key control thru master key systems and high security, restricted, or serialized key control.
Electronic access control locks can eliminate the use of traditional keys and provide a higher level of security thru time-zone control and audit trails. The loss of a buildings master key can lead to costly corrective measures, whereas innovative electronic solutions can allow simple re-programming without re-keying and destruction of a master key system.
